Even if he just makes significant progress, I'm hopeful that Wolff would allow Billy Beane to sign a free agent or two this off season. With "light at the end of the tunnel", I think he'd take the risk.

However, if there's no deal to be made in Oakland or the East Bay, nothing else matters, the A's are gone. I see San Jose as an option only if relocation or contraction is not doable. (And you just know that Selig still wants to eliminate at least ONE team)

Problem is that there are too many current A's fans(particularly on Athleticsnation.com) who disregard the whole stadium issue, think the Coliseum is fine as it is, and prefer to blame Al Davis for its shortcomings.

Maybe it's just too much for the average sports fan to swallow, but I'd like to see a bigger effort on the fan base to put pressure on the "powers that be" to get the A's a new stadium before its too late.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11432525.post-1117056147925802412005-05-25T14:22:00.000-07:002005-05-25T14:22:00.000-07:00Despite the lack of comments, I really enjoy your ...Despite the lack of comments, I really enjoy your site and want to thank you for all the effort you put into it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
